ARTEFACT ONE

ELECTRONIC MUSIC TRACK

For my first artefact I am going to make an electronic music track, this shows my creative process and my understanding of how to work certain daw’s to efficiently do sound design. In this track I am going to midi the synthesisers myself using fl studio and third party plugins. One of these plugins is vital which is a wavetable synthesiser for sound designing synths I’m also going to use automation to control parameters like volume or panning. I learned to do all of this from my daw sampling and synthesis unit of my sound production course the reason I wanted to make my own piece as last time I had course specifications that I had to meet and felt like that was in the way of me reaching my creative goal.

ARTEFACT TWO

LIVE TRACK

For my second artefact I will use my recording project from my recording and mixing test. This will show my ability during live mixing and recording and also working within a timescale and communication which can be helpful in future for clients etc. this will also show my knowledge for microphone placements and types to use for certain recordings. This will also show my knowledge for signal paths and routing in studios to certain channels in this project I also used effects such as eq reverb and chorus which shows my knowledge on how to use effects creatively. I can also use my recording plan and recording contracts to show my knowledge for the business aspect of this artefact.

ARTEFACT THREE

MULTIMEDIA PROJECT

For my third artefact I will use my multimedia project. This will show my creative abilities in sound design and show my skills in editing. This also shows my time management as I will be working within a certain time frame. This artefact will show the skills I have gained from previous units I have completed. Such as automation of volume and effects, working in a daw and creative use of effects.
